The Air Tailwind '79 holds a special place in Swoosh history, debuting almost 40 years ago for the Honolulu marathon as one of the first silhouettes to offer Nike's innovative Air technology. The 2019 retro accurately replicates the original model, featuring a mesh upper with suede overlays, an exposed-foam tongue, rubber outsole with waffle traction and a Nike Air unit for lightweight cushioning.
